Spacers for the wheels? That way you don't lose your turning radius.

do you have a body lift? I ran these exact tires for a while on my tj with a budget boost and a body lift, i didnt rub until I went to 35's

I recommend a 1 1/4" body lift to solve your problems Smiley

also I ran 15x8 canyon rims with the 33's. I always liked the look of the canyons Smiley

I have a 1.25in body lift and a 2in budget boost. However the stock rims are 15x7 not 15x8, I don't know if that would make them rub though.

I guess I don't know then, it did look like you had a body lift in your last pic, but I couldn't tell.

bring her by my house (you know where i am) I will help you throw a washer or two on your steering stops.  easiest way to solve the rub issue.
Thanks for the offer JJ, I really do appreciate it. However, I am just going to say the hell with it and buy the spacers. You guys told me I was going to be broke when I first posted here, and you were certainly right.

Right now I am thinking 1.5in spacers from rough country.

-Thanks, Cody

how close is the rub point? If you put a set of adjustable quick disco or a set made for around 3" of lift would it help raise the bar enough? Should be parallel to the street to perform properly anyway. This might be cheaper.

The only things is that the tire also rubs on the control arm on the other side. The bar is also parallel to the ground already as she is sitting here in my driveway. Also JSK quick discos are about the same price as the rough country wheel spacers. So unless getting the wheel spacers is definitely not the way to go, I think I better order them before I decide that being literally broke is a bad idea Wink

if they are the same price and the quick discos could help...i'd get them, will make disconnecting for the trails easier....seems more practical

I definitely want to buy quick disconnects sometime. I just don't see how getting them would help the tire rub on the control arm. I am sorry I should have elaborated on how the tire is also rubbing the control arm in my original post.

Also, how much are you looking for for the quick disconnects JJ?

Well I said the hell with it and just bought the wheel spacers. I have a job lined up for the summer, so once I start working I can buy the disconnects if I need them.

I know how everyone likes pictures much better than txt, so I took some of those.

^Took this one so I can see a before and after of the wheel spacers.

you can make your own simple discos with some parts and pieces from Lowes

http://www.4x4xplor.com/homediscos.html

the problem with these is the replacement bolt is smaller than the hole so it can wiggle a little. a better way might be to try to find and extra set of bolts and drill small holes to be able to install a pin, or just carry some wrenches with you....

I did this a few years ago (before I bought real disco's)  mud rover also runs these.  Ask me how much I hated them, ask him how much he hates them.  The pin doesnt hold the link tight enough and will be a pain to put back on.  Also, being lifted + resting your links on the spring perch will cause the ball and socket at the top of the swaybar link to break (ask me how I know that one)

As far as my discos they are in pretty good shape, maybe $80?

oh yeah, rode by your house today, jeep looks good all cleaned up on the front lawn for the parade.

oh ya i agree. i ran them for a couple months till i bought JKS's but they worked till i could come up with the 130-150 or whatever they cost. but damn straight i would have jumped on a used set if they were around. def a deal you shouldn't pass up
