so i bought a couple sawzall blades....
you can see where my atx customs backhalf bracket goes. steel arrives tomorrow and i can build the rear frame. i'm going to use 2x3 3/16" for the sides and my 1/4" rockmen diy rear bumper as a rear frame crossmember/bumper.

john suggested that the front panhard bar frame mount be moved forward. since tim and i had chopped up a ballistic mount and it then didn't fit well, a new one was carved with the plasma.
if i were a 14 year old girl, i'd be a cutter for sure
in my quest to make this a sweet low ridin' tj, the body was cut to make room for the rear upper control arms and brackets.
i cut even more body to get the atlas up and out of the way.

Glad you moved that forward, it will allow for better compression.

building a frame is fun. if i had a jeep and the frame were rotten i'd buy a stick or 2 or 2x3 and to sets of these brackets and i could build a frame without taking the jeep off it.
my old rear bumper is now the rear crossmember/bumper. (or will be real soon) did a little more cutting of the body. notice the back of the tub under the tailgate is missing.
i will simply remount the body mounts but on the inside of the frame for the second to last mounts
