the best gifts are the ones you buy yourself.
last night timmay and i took 2 stock length tj front drive shafts and shortened both into my new front and rear drive shafts. tim plumbed most of the steering hoses. need to pick up another length (3-4') plus i want plenty of spare hose too.
while running brake line it was brought to my attention that the lines i had been told were inveted flare, wern't... so 50+ bucks later from jegs, adapters are on the way....
modified my tranny shifter. cut and tilted and then welded it back. works great. i just can't use my cutting brake in 2nd or 3rd gear
no problem.

john came over and designed a cage with painters tape. i am going to follow 90% of his design.
i bent up an "A" pillar but didn't take a picture. it was late and i was tired and blowing bubbles. the "A" is going throught he dash for a clean look and it will be out of the way too.

worked with timmay last night on the cage. finished welding in the front. tim took over on the stick welder to weld up a bracket on the cast pumkin. its looking sweet after he gusseted it. (i'll have to take a pic of that) i finished welded the rest of the front. oh, here are some cage pics.
photobucket sucsk, i rotated them all and when i view the album, they are fine, but here they are not rotated....meh...
i wonder what i'll work on tonight...
