2001 TransAM LS1 complete with wiring & computer.
325hp probably closer to the vette's 350hp in reality.
Going to get a computer tune bumping it up a bit.

Only 325
I think after a cam swap and the Comp tune it will be in the 390-420 range. Plenty strong for you, hell the 325 will scare the crap out me. Especially in a some what light weight chassie, were you getting that
Jason.

I think 325 hp will be enough to scare him anyways. He was only a passanger in mine. Thats not nearly as scary as driving it, trying to shift, and keep all four tires facing forward. lol

I'm going to try like hell to leave it as is.
That might dictate what we use for t-case.

At this point in time, I know a 231 would be the best t-case option for you.

should this be in a separate build thread
If you have any problem spending money on this new build, I can sit on a bar stool and critique it for a small fee.

Yes, please start "faster and even more expensive hottie". Also, since your last build wasn't up to your expectations, you should consider donating it for our next nej raffle.

Going to get a computer tune bumping it up a bit.
Be careful with who tunes your computer. Lucas and I got the shaft from our original tuner (well known name). He used the wrong spark and fuel maps and his "40hp tune" was removing torque management and changing the shift points. (does nothing without a computer controlled trans). if anything we lost 40 hp.
I went out and got efilive before KOH. I Figured if we had an ECM go bad I could dump the tune to a junkyard spare. I also wanted to tune my diesel truck. I then used it on my truck and a friends. Also used it to tune the 5.3L in Aaron Turcotte's Ultra4/KOH buggy. When I started looking into the tune on Lucas' truck out of curiousity and trying to see if we could get more power, I logged some data and the fuel trims and spark advance were all out of whack. Trims in the 20% range (should be less than 5%) and the advance barely made it to the mid teens (should be mid to low twentys). Turns out the tuner put an LQ4 tune in instead of an LQ9 beacuse it was less work. With an hour or two of copy paste I got the stock LQ9 tune in just before the SMORR race (night before in Missourri). No dyno numbers but a HUGE difference in seat of the pants. Noticeable difference in where we needed to down shift.
To be quite honest most mail order tunes on gas engines aren't usually anything more than removing some of the torque management, a tweak to the Rev limit and changing the shift points. Unless they are running it on a dyno with a Wide band 02 sensor, it isn't really being tuned, especially on our stuff where we are running non stock intake, exhaust, air filter, fuel systems, etc.
