Turbo 475 ? I thought that the heavy duty th400 was the th450. Did it come out of a motor home? Does it have the AMc bellhousing? Or can you swap in the guts from the th475 into a amc th400 looking at the pic I was going to make a comment that it was a hunk of aluminum waiting to overheat and rob driveshaft clearance and there was a sweet looking t18

Mine came from a box van/truck and is a little different. Same fixed yoke on the rear but his has the normall style oil pan not the intergrated oil pan/lower bell housing like mine. Nice thing about the 475 is it use's the straight cut first gear cluster witch can take a crap load more force. Gearing is the same but the strength of the case is alot stronger due to it being thicker in the tail section and around the bellhousing. Yes the guts from a 475 can be put into a 400 case, but in this case is will stay and just freshend up. It needs to withstand alot of HP. I cant say whats its being bolted to, but its not a AMC Jason.
