I like the tube fenders you build.
Besides the cooling benefit is there another reason to run without the inner fenders?

some modify the inner fender to fit with tube fenders. i removed my inner fender and removed the inside part of the tube fender to fit airshocks. downside is dirt/mud can get in easily.

there will be inner fenders eventually, thats why in most pics, you still see my old fenders kicking around. going to hack them up a bit and try to run parts of them.

Johns never finished. He will wrap it up, wheel it twice and rip it all apart again!

no pics, but I spent a couple hours on it last night. cut and notched all the side bars. in the process of making a jig so that all the tubes will be level and square so I can get away with one solid sheet of plastic. also cut the front mounting feet off the old cage and cut more out of the floor. not sure if I will get to work on it in the next day or two, supposed to be muggy, plus I need to get up to ians to cut some brackets up and junk.

here are some of the brackets I made today, these are going to tie the fenders into the rad. hoop
also got the bars that tie the fenders into the boat sides bent and cut, didn't fee like pulling the welder out today, So I'll welded all the small things up this week, finish trimming the floor, trimm all the body mounts, measure for the poly, prime and paint this junk.

why are those brackets to tie the tube fenders into the rad hoop three piece, couldn't you just have made one piece ? just curious was it for adjustment purpose ?

just a guess Jerry but I am thinking it is so he can unbolt it all and he is planning to put a bolt through all 3 peices . Just a hunch but could be wrong

to make it double sheer
There is one thing I can stand is when things are not serviceable, so If I weld the fenders solid to the rad hoop, then should I have to remove the fenders to swap a motor for example, I have to cut something.. by making them as I did, I will be able to unbolt them from the rad hoop, plus it is different, every Tom Dick and Jane just weld crap together, or use a store bought flange.
