You could use a 16" puller in front of the radiator. Its a trail rig now or after the one ton swap so the fan in the front pulling air will be just as effecnt as a pusher or two small ones in the engine bay.
I run a single 16" and I run at 180* all day long. I do run it all the time, when the master switch go's hot my fan runs. No seprate toggle's for me, I cant even count how many rigs Ive seen that you need to shut the fans off with a seperate toggle, they jump in forget to turn them on and then blow a radiator line clear off.
Thats why Clayton had a major over heat at KOH and could not bring the temp down for hours, kept him stuck on the first lap till the race was done.

John, have you considered a fan from a ford contour? It has dual fans pulling 3400 CFM in total and over a 1” thinner then a taurus fan at the motors. You can find one on the higher performance engines, either a 16 valve “Zetec” or the 24 valve 2.5l “Duratec” V-6. I plan to use the same fan on my project if I come across one.

I'll look into it. there is currently a pushing fan, but it is just not adequate.
I am hinking of two fans, one on top and the other on bottom, one goes on at 180, the second under the load of the AC or temps excede 210.
we have bigger problems. someone gave my dad these stupid flame stickers, he just called me and told me he put them on for , and I quote "sweet custom look" I am scared.

John, do you have enough space for a clutch fan? I've been down this road with a few CJ's, YJ's and TJ's. The CJ has a built 350, the YJ has a built 302 and the TJ has a stroker 4.7. They all had cooling problems, they all had different style aluminum radiators, dual pass and so on. They all had electric fans, all different brands and styles. All of these jeeps were fixed with three or four core copper radiators with clutch fans and shrouds. The shrouds made a big difference along with a clutch fan. I would go this route if you have the space and stay away from fancy aluminum radiators and electric fans. I can get some picts of a radiator fan and custom shroud I made for a CJ I fixed the cooling system in.

absolutely no room for a clutch fan.
I had a thread for the plymouth on here some where, I will try to revive it.
But lets get this thread back on the topic of my jeep...
Anybody want to buy some home made rocker guards?

Been working on the jeep in what little free time i have had between work, family, and rain.
This is the rust that pretty much the reason for the boat sides. it is about 5 inches of rot and it goes down behind the rocker guard..
Luckily the rot ends in the bottom corner of the tub, i'll get better photo's when the rockers come off.
BUT.. Fenders are off I started roughing in the new fenders, didn't get photos so bla.. still need to mount the rad. overflow and the new battery box. My OBA tank is also under hte hood so I am going to move it to over the rear drive shaft.
Basically I am gonna cut from where the top of the current rocker guards are and down off. I'm probably not gonna get the boatsides on before I leave for phoenix next weekend, but I am gonna try to get the cutting done.

Patching the rust... I have a couple of old motor covers from some machinery that I got from one of my previous employers. it's all 16 gauge and rust free... perfect, I will also use this to patch the floor when I cut it to fit the doubler flat
